        One of the statutory responsibilities of the Board is to investigate complaints (called notifications in the Health Professions Registration Act 2005) relating to the professional practice of pharmacists. The Board employs officers, who are registered pharmacists, who investigate notifications. The Board does not investigate matters of a commercial nature (these should be referred to the Office of Fair Trading and Business Affairs).
